9 more weeks!

I cant belive that Im in the single digit week countdown now. Only 9 weeks! Wow, this pregnancy has gone by so fast. I have a doctors appt this week to check Jane. Im hoping that she doesnt do the same thing as Tommy. Tommy stopped growing at 31 weeks. When he was born at 37 weeks he was only 32 weeks along. Lets hope everything goes well this checkup. So far with her movments and how much she is growing it seems like everything will be fine. Only time and a few ultrasounds will tell. Ill post pics of the ultrasound if I get one (they said I would). On our 20 week we got a blank disk. I was really upset. As far as how I feel, I feel fine. I find myself getting impatient a lot, probably because its so hard to get a good nights sleep. But its all worth it for a baby.

Who needs paper?

On Friday Tommy got to paint for the first time ever. I dont think I need to tell you how much he enjoyed it. He actually did really good at not getting it on anything but the paper, but then he found out how much fun it would be to paint his hands, then his arms, then his tummy ect. He was very proud of himself. He called himself "pretty" when he looked in the mirror. In the last picture of Tommy he is saying "hear dat? fire truck!" He actually has very good hearing Im glad that I thought to strip him down to his diaper before he started. It did keep him busy for an hour so that I could finish my new painting for the bathroom. I like how this turned out much better than the last one.

Nesting

So instead of so many food cravings I HAVE to nest. Ive been cleaning and throwing a bunch of stuff away. Tommys closet is next but Im still a little scared of it. So Ive had this idea of what I wanted to do with the bathroom for a while but never had the time, money or energy to do it. So yesterday I finally did it. It was so much fun and helped me get rid of some of that nesting itch ive been having. Plus we will be in this apartment for at least another 2 years so I figured what the heck. I really wanted to use green, black and white and gerber daisies in pots. I think that I want to redo the paintings, theyre not quite right. But this is what I came up with. Im kinda sad its all over so fast, I was just so excited to get it done. Maybe the kitchen is next since I spend so much time in there cooking and doing dishes by hand. I do have ideas for the bedroom but those can wait. Right now I need to finish the baby blanket that Im crocheting for Jane. Im almost done.

Update

So we were kinda busy last month. Some fun stuff and some just everyday busy stuff. Tommy turned 2! We had fun. Tommy loved his toys he got from us and his friends. We didnt do a party, we just had cinnamon rolls for breakfast and opened presents before Dave went to work. Then he played with his friends and made cupcakes to take to Daves work.
Then I quit my job. Im just getting too tired to go. Plus I want to spend my last few months before the baby comes with Tommy. I think Tommy will miss seeing all his friends though. I wont miss it too much. Ill just keep myself busy with fun projects, books , friends and naps.
We went down to Missouri again to visit Daves parents. Daves two brothers Greg and Mark were there. Greg's wife Heather just had a baby and it was so great to see her for the first time. She is such a cutie. Tommy loved Sydnie. He would wake up and ask to see the baby. He wanted to hold her and help with everything. Good practice for when the baby comes. He was very good with her which is a relief. Well see how he does when the baby doesnt go away. I was also able to open up "beauty shop" in my mother in laws bathroom. It was great to cut and color all my sisters hair.

So Im about 29 weeks along and everything is going fine. Ive been tired and feeling dizzy lately. My doctor told me I was anemic so ive been taking iron tablets and now I feel great. Funny how nutrition and vitamins can really make such a big difference. Im still kinda small and Ive even had people ask me if I was still pregnant. I feel huge but maybe its just the clothes I wear. We decided on a name finally. It was so hard to find a middle name for Jane. We are going to name her Jane Isa after my wonderful sister in law Isa. (25 wk picture and a 29 week picture. Look the same to you? Im not much bigger.)

Dave is really having a good time at work. He loves it. We have they guys over for dinner all the time and it is nice to have a full house, plus I love to cook. Dave just finished with Guitar Hero and is starting on a project for the Wii.

I think thats it. Ill update again if I missed anything. I tend to do that more often now.

The next Van Gogh

Tommy must have a very strong artistic/creative gene in him. He is very particular when he colors and always uses lots of color. What was really surprizing was while we were at our friends house, Tommy did this with his frogs. Notice anything? I didnt help him at all and Ive never gone over the colors of the rainbow with him. He had put his frogs in a line in order (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, violet). Some High school kids cant even do that. I was like "wow!" He turns 2 on Thursday and can already do this all on his own. What was really amazing is that while i was quietly watching him he had a red-orange frog and was about to put it at the end with the violets but then he stopped and put it next to the red. But then he stopped again, moved the red away from the orange, put the red-orange frog next to the orange, then put the red back, next to that one so that the order was red, red-orange, then orange. I know it might be just me because Im his mommy but I thought this was amazing and as an artist myself I was really proud of him for figuring this out all on his own.

Here are some cute pics. Me and Tommy making icing and Dave and Tommy after church.
